Creating Chatbots

There are two ways to create chatbots:

  1. Through the virtual avatar

  2. Through the form (pro mode)

1. Using the virtual avatar

Creating a chatbot with the virtual avatar is straightforward:

  • Visit CoderGF.com

  • Start a new chat and use a natural language phrase such as "create a chatbot" or "create an agent"

  • The virtual avatar will ask you for the following:

    • Chatbot name

    • Personality

    • Traits

    • Area of expertise

While its nice to be detailed about each of these, you don't have to be particularly thorough. Our AI will fill in the details on the backend, including crafting a backstory, expanding traits, and adding color to the personality.

Once created, your chatbot will be live within seconds. You can access it through the shared URL, or through your dashboard.

2. Using the chatbot form (PRO mode)

The virtual avatar interface, while easy to use, takes away granular control from the user.

Power users who want nuanced control over the output are welcome to use the PRO mode for cerating chatbots.

Here's how it works:

  • Visit the Pro mode page at CoderGF.xyz/pro

  • Enter the following information:

    • A name

    • A short bio

    • Background lore or backstory

    • Personality profile

    • Personality traits

    • Area(s) of expertise

    • Chosen voice (for future voice models)

    • LLM used (choose between GPT-4o-mini from OpenAI, Claude Haiku from Anthropic, or Gemini Flash from Google)

Unlike the standard mode, our AI does NOT fill in any color or details for chatbots created via the pro mode. If you enter "Brick" under "personality", your chatbot really will have the personality of a brick.

This mode is ideal for users who want control over the output of the chatbot.

3. Generating chatbot images

By default, chatbots are generated sans-images. Depending on whether you are logged in or not when creating the chatbot, there are two ways to generate avatar images:

A. On the chatbot page (non-logged in users)

If you're not logged in, you can simply open the target chatbot page and click on "Generate". This will create a PFP in the native CoderGF style. You can only generate this once and don't have control over the prompt or the style.

B. On your dashboard

If you were logged in when you created the chatbot, the bot will show up in your dashboard under the 'My Chatbots' section.

Find your target chatbot and click on "Customize"

On the next screen, enter your desired prompt and click on "Generate".

If you're satisfied with your output, you can exit the screen and the newly generated image will be your chatbot's new profile picture.

In beta, there is no rate limit. However, we will eventually add limits to the number of images you can generate per bot, per user.
